The Magic Touch started as a side project of well-known German ska and reggae bands including Yellow Umbrella, and soon became the go-to band to back Jamaican legends such as Roy Ellis (Symarip) and Ken Boothe when touring Germany. 2010′s debut album “LOVE HATE & POLITRICKS” exposed these cats to the world, generating tons of praise and made them a serious band to watch for the future.
The future is now! The album cover may throw you for a loop, but what lies inside are some seriously sweet old skool Jamaican grooves. The legendary EL BOSSO & DIE PING PONGS are back with a brand new album! The band originated during the European revival of the mid-80s and was a dominant band in Germany (along with No Sports, The Busters, The Braces) through 1992 when the band parted ways. At that point member “Richie The Professor” launched a successful solo career under the new moniker DR RING DING – and the rest is history! EL BOSSO reformed in 2003 due to popular demand, and this is their second album since that reunion! DR RING DING’s began his professional career in 1987 playing trombone with EL BOSSO & DIE PING PONGS, one of Germany’s most famous ska bands. His experience in EL BOSSO lead to his life long love for Jamaican music.
