A couple years ago when we were chatting to Bucket from  THE TOASTERS, we realized that there were a handful of albums that NEVER appeared on wax – that list included the amazing European 2 TONE ARMY collection which included their biggest MTV2 video hits!!! So we got into motion and made this happen! “The Italian Job” it’s more than a concept EP,  it’s a symbolic bridge between two countries. The famous Belgian early reggae band invited the Italian singer/trombone player to join them, he soon left his mum and the pizzeria to ride his vespa through the Alps. He brought his trombone, some salami, some cheese and some classic 60′s italian songs, then he said “this time I sing in Italiano”! The tape rolled up and what we have is a romantic flavor on a super groovy rhythm.

We at JUMP UP have been fans of SOLOMON JABBY for years – we are so proud to finally be able to work with him! As the guitarist and one of the original members of Christian roots reggae powerhouse Christafari, SOLOMAN has toured the world ’round and recorded a dozen plus albums. But much of his work has been overlooked in the “secular” market.
